Places to visit
Gairloch often takes people who have not visited the area before by surprise. Less well known than the Isle of Skye but with equally as dramatic mountain ranges, beaches, waterfalls and wildlife, Gairloch has just as much if not more to offer but without the crowds. The most common feedback we get from guests doing the North Coast 500 is that they wish they had stayed longer. The roads on the North Coast 500 are some of the most stunning in the world but many are single track and can’t be driven quickly. Its best to allow less distance between each stopover or spend more than one night at each location then you have time to get out and about and see the real North Coast – not just admire it from your car.
