Stay by the Shore

We offer Bed and Breakfast accommodation and a self-catering Holiday Cottage both situated on Shore Street with stunning views of the sea, mountains, and beach from every window.

What we offer

Our Bed and Breakfast, ‘The Old School House,’ has one double (with private bathroom and king-size bed) and one ensuite twin room. The price of the room per night includes breakfast. Guests have the use of a guest lounge which has a log burner, complimentary whisky, and information about walks and the local area.

If you’d like to stay longer in Gairloch, we have a self-catering option in our cottage, ‘Beul Na Mara.’ This is located directly on the seafront just metres from the sea and can be booked for a minimum of one week. The cottage has a double bedroom (king-size bed) and a twin room. While we are happy to accept dogs in the cottage we currently don’t accept dogs in the B&B.

Unique location

The Old School House B&B and the holiday cottage Beul Na Mara holiday cottage have unique positions on Shore Street in the heart of Gairloch. Both have far-reaching views over the sea to Gairloch Beach and beyond to the rugged beauty of the mountains and the Isle of Skye. Whether you’re looking for a couple of nights accommodation whilst driving the North Coast 500 or you’d like to stay for longer then we can offer you both options.

Gairloch is an ideal choice to explore Gairloch, Torridon, Plockton, Applecross, Ullapool, or Lochcarron. If you want to stay longer and explore Wester Ross, Isle of Skye, and Torridon plus the beaches at Red Point, Big Sands, Mellon Udrigle, and Gruinard Bay.

Guests can see birds, otters, dolphins, seals and incredible sunsets which the west coast of Scotland is renowned for.

CANCELLATION POLICY: For B&B bookings we have a flexible cancellation policy. We don’t take a deposit when you book with us, unless it’s less than a week before your visit in which case full payment is required. The balance in full is due seven days before you arrive.

For the holiday cottage, a deposit is taken at the initial booking and the balance is due 6 weeks before your stay.
